Road works

I have just been over to Bury to pick a washing machine up from a very nice Lady in the Gigg Lane area. The A58 from Bolton has major road work's on it with 1 lane closed at the junction with Tottington road. It is causing long tail back's so add some time to your journey if you have to take this route.

Re-surfacing works

There are major re-surfacing work's on Deane road going in both direction's with lots of raised steel manholes.

Pot hole

There is a deep pot hole in the middle of Breightmet lane near the new Doctors surgery.

Pot holes

If you value your car in any way then stay well clear of Osmund Avenue off Bury road just after the lights at Crompton Way. The pot holes in this area are unusually large and deep. They would not be out of place on Sailsbury common after an army exercise in mortar bombardment!

Sunken drain covers

There are 2 sunken drain covers going up Winchester way and the junction with Waggon road.

A6 single file traffic

I have just been over to the scrap yard in Manchester and noticed a rather large hole in the road just before the exit to Pendelton. Also a little further along the A6 reduces down to single file traffic going into town.

Single file traffic

There are gas line replacement works going on in Campbell Street,Bradford Street and Plodder Lane so it is like the Bermuda triangle of road works at the minute with skips and heavy plant all over the place. There are long tail backs and you can expect hold up's throughtout the day.

Re-surfacing works

There are major re-surfacing works taking place on Kirkebrok Road and the road is closed at both end's because it is full of skips and heavy plant.

New Camera

I was going to collect some scrap from Bury and noticed a new camera in front of the yellow camera on the dual carrigeway section of Bury road. The camera appears to be scanning the opposite side of the road but there are no marking's on the road.
